NOW LET'S LOOK AT how to use Squarespace’s unique features to bring added value and engagement to your clients.

Streamline Your Scheduling and Client Bookings

Managing appointments can be time-consuming, but Squarespace offers seamless integration with scheduling platforms. Acuity, now fully integrated into Squarespace Scheduling, is designed for service-based businesses and offers flexible plans. Embedding your calendar directly on your site allows clients to easily book sessions without needing extra steps. This feature is especially beneficial as it reduces the back-and-forth communication that can take up your valuable time.

Here are some key features that coaches can leverage:

  • Automated Communications: Acuity’s automated emails include reminders, follow-ups, and confirmations, minimizing no-shows. You can personalize reminders to include session details, any necessary preparation instructions, and even follow-up messages that help clients stay engaged.

  • Simple Payment Collection: Integrated payment options, including Stripe, Square, and PayPal, make payment processing easy and secure. Clients can pre-pay or make deposits, which is especially useful for coaching packages or consults.

  • Integrations with Video Conferencing: Acuity connects easily to Zoom, GoToMeeting, and other platforms, so clients receive direct links for virtual sessions.

  • Custom Forms: Collect intake information through customizable forms, giving you insights into your clients' needs before the session even begins.

  • Packages, Gift Certificates, and Subscriptions: You can create packages and memberships that let clients book multiple sessions in advance or as part of a subscription, perfect for long-term coaching engagements or multi-session packages.

  • Sync to Your Calendar: You can sync the Squarespace scheduling app to your personal or business calendar. This feature keeps everything in one place, so you can see new appointments, reschedules, or cancellations without needing to log into your website each time.

You can easily integrate Squarespace scheduling into your Squarespace website as a standalone scheduling page or as a scheduling block, a booking button or a booking bar on your website’s page. For those who want their appointment page to be private, you can also generate a direct link and send the clients to a specific appointment page.

Squarespace Member Areas

Squarespace’s Members Area is perfect for coaches who want to offer exclusive materials, such as a mini-course, downloadable resources, or special video content that only members can access. This feature provides a private space that clients can access after signing up.

For example, you could offer a monthly webinar, members-only workshops, or downloadable worksheets to help clients implement what they learn in coaching sessions.

From my experience, setting up Member Areas allows you to create different access levels. This means you could offer introductory content to new clients and more in-depth sessions for ongoing clients, all from the same space.

You can set up free memberships, as well as paid memberships such as a one-time fee or recurring payment (subscription). You can offer monthly, quarterly, or annual subscriptions and let clients pay securely via credit card or PayPal.

One of the standout features of Squarespace’s Member Area is the ability to create personalized profiles for each client. You can gather important information about each member, track their progress, and even offer tailored content that matches their goals and preferences.

Whether you’re offering group coaching sessions, private consultations, or self-paced learning, Member Areas ensures that only the right people can access your content!

Hosting Your Online Course

If you’ve been thinking about sharing your expertise through an online course, Squarespace can be a perfect platform to help you get started. For online course creators, Squarespace provides a seamless setup for sharing content, accepting payments, and even managing membership access without needing a handful of third-party tools.

Here’s a quick rundown of what you can do with Squarespace’s course page:

  • Course Overview: This is where you can introduce your course and give students a preview of what they’ll learn in each module or lesson.

  • Progress Bar: Squarespace includes a handy progress bar so students can easily track how far they’ve come and what’s next.

  • Flexible Payment Options: You can set up different payment plans, whether you want to charge a one-time fee or offer a subscription model.

  • Customizable Design: From colors to fonts, you can personalize your course page to fit your brand and make it look cohesive.

  • Video Embedding: Easily embed videos from platforms like YouTube or Vimeo, keeping all your content in one place.

Creating your course page is super simple. Just hop into your Squarespace dashboard, select "Website" and then "Pages." Click the "+" icon next to "Pages" to add a new one. Scroll down until you find "Course Page" under the collections section, and select it.

From there, you can add as many lessons and modules as you need, along with customizing colors, text, and content. It’s all set up to be as flexible as you need so you can make it your own!

Selling Your Digital Products on Squarespace

Isn't it interesting how often we overlook the potential of selling digital products to boost business revenue? Many entrepreneurs focus solely on physical goods, but digital products like ebooks, workbooks, or courses, can not only solve customer pain points but also establish you as an authority in your niche.

But, have you ever wondered if Squarespace is the right platform for selling digital products? You might have heard that it's primarily for simple websites or blogs. In reality, Squarespace can be a fantastic choice for digital entrepreneurs. Take the Will-Myers website, for example. Will has cleverly crafted an online store using Squarespace to sell his own Squarespace plugins.

And the good news is that you don't need to opt for the e-commerce plans on Squarespace to start selling. With just a Business Plan Subscription, you're good to go.

The Business Plan includes a shop feature where you can sell both physical and digital goods. Yes, there's a 3% transaction fee per sale, but this fee is manageable and shouldn't put a dent in your profits. As your sales grow, upgrading to an e-commerce plan becomes a viable option.

Setting up your store on Squarespace is very straightforward.

  • Head over to your Squarespace dashboard and click on “Pages”.

  • Under “Collection”, choose “Store”.

  • Once your store is set up, you can start adding products. For digital products, select “Digital” and follow the simple prompts to get everything up and running.

Remember, digital products are typically delivered via a link sent to the buyer's email. This link will direct them to a page where they can either download the product or access it directly.

Client Invoicing

One common issue many coaches face is juggling project management and invoicing without breaking the bank. Squarespace's invoicing feature is a handy tool that can serve as a client portal, especially if you're just starting or working with a tight budget.

With Squarespace, you can easily set up a project, and add your clients to the portal, They’ll receive notifications about project updates, milestones, and more. How convenient would it be for them to track their progress, access resources, or even leave notes all in one place?

Creating invoices for each project milestone is a breeze with Squarespace. It automatically sends out emails with a "pay" button, guiding clients directly to your payment details. Once they’ve paid, the system marks the invoice as settled. If your client happens to miss the invoice email, no worries you can simply resend it through the Squarespace app.

And if you ever need to make changes? Editing, resending, or even canceling an invoice is super simple. Your clients will appreciate the simplicity of logging into their Squarespace dashboard to check on their project’s progress, review resources, and communicate with you.

I have written an article about how to use Squarespace invoicing so you can check it out for more details.

Squarespace Coaching Website Templates
